  2. Between the rough cut and the Final deadline, you will be able to have a camera in the lessons and for 1 overnight. No weekends.
  3. You can have a stills camera in the lessons and for 1 overnight, from the point where filming commences. It is possible to have your video and stills cameras at the same time. This actually might be advisable.

Developments Of Idea

Macro elements - Genre - The genre of our music video is Indie/Pop. Our video includes a narrative based on one main character. There's possibility for performance however its not certain, Lip sync will be used through most of the video.

Micro elements - Mise-en-scene - The main character will be dressed casually holding a guitar. The video will be filmed during the day so the lighting will be light, however when in the city it will be darker than in the countryside. This will enhance the characters feelings throughout the video.
Camerawork - There will be many varieties of camera work in the video. Some examples will be close ups to capture emotion, Long shots to show the surrounding clearly and high angle shots to make the main character look insignificant.
Editing - Throughout the video seeing as the song is quite up beat we will use quick cuts, Also flashbacks will be used (possible editing to create haziness for flashbacks).
Sound-image relationships - The lyrics in the song show times of when the singer was happy and sad therefore when the lyrics are saying the positive lyrics the main character will be in the countryside in contrast to negative lyrics meaning the character is located in the city.

Plan B - No Good

This video is a stop motion video we have looked at in class. There are a lot of interesting styles of stop motion used as well as having a comical factor.

DVD cover ideas

The idea we have so far is the main character in the video is on the front with his guitar strapped over his shoulder, with the big city in the background but hes standing on fields in the suburbs, this shows the two intertwined.

Original ideas

We have interpruted the lyrics to show that there's a guy alone in the city, who is missing somone from the suburbs and he has flash backs of his time with his girl in the suburbs. we also had the idea of him walking alone in the middle of the road with traffic wizing past him. we want to have it starting whilst the sun is coming out and end when the sun is setting.

Inspirational Music Videos -

Vanessa Carlton - One Thousand Miles
The reason we chose this video is because we can relate it due to being a similar type of song aswell as it being a very effective video which grabs a lot of attention from the viewer.

Lucky Jim - Lovely To Me

This again is a similar style of song, It's an interesting video where the performer is just on a set. It's simple yet affective.
Chosen song : The Hush Sound - We Intertwined

Reason For Choice - We like the simpleness of the song. We feel that the lyrics used are appropriate for allowing us to make the video into a story.
